Winter officially has one foot out the door and it looks like warmer temperatures and sunny skies are upon us! This is the time to be applying your spring pre-emergent fertilizer. This will help green the lawn up and prevent grassy and broadleaf weeds from becoming established in your lawn.
Tune up your mower with new spark plugs, change the oil, and add fresh fuel. Check your blade to make sure it is nice and sharp so you are indeed cutting the grass and not ripping it. You will be able to tell if you lawn starts to have white tips on the grass blades.
If you need your irrigation turned on and tuned up give us a call!
Now is also a great time to apply new mulch. Mulch protects the roots of plants as well as helps to hold in moisture, prevent weeds, and add a beautiful touch to your landscape. Call for a free quote.
It looks like 2012 is a similar repeat for 2011. It is seeming almost impossible to keep the grass as green as we would all like to see it with this lack of water and extreme heat. To minimize complete lawn destruction, try to water a couple times a week to help keep the roots alive. The top growth will have mostly likely gone in to dormancy, but those roots still need water to survive!
Here are some of our typical upcoming services for fall. If you would like to be added to our list please do not hesitate to call and set up an appointment!

Finally! It’s cooled off! The weather is beautiful again and its time to get your lawn back into shape. We can provide custom lawn renovations from entire lawn kill and start over to a simple aeration. Our most common process of lawn renovation includes aerating, double verticut, seed, and fertilizer. Some lawns with excessive thatch require more attention with raking the lawn after the double verticut. Renovations are what we specialize in all fall. If you would like a quote feel free to call or email! We can usually get you worked in within a couple of days and if you have irrigation we will mark the heads and set your irrigation clock on a custom schedule for the best results in seed germination for no extra charge.
